Description: One of the methods of confronting the interwar anti-Semitism was publishing caricatures in the press. This lesson includes excerpts from Jewish lampoon magazines, most of which refer to anti-Semitism. Caricatures would often use macabre and dark humour to deal with the stereotypes assigned to Jews and to criticise nationalist and anti-Semitic attitudes. It was also a tool for denouncing propaganda tools.
